We are thrilled to announce the addition of David Foster to Etcho’s board as our latest advisor. With nearly four decades of experience in financial services, David brings a wealth of knowledge, a robust network, and a profound understanding of the challenges and opportunities in wealth management today. His expertise will be instrumental in advancing Etcho’s mission of seamlessly connecting wealth with values.
David’s career has been both extensive and diverse beginning in Personal and Corporate Banking and moving on early to spend most of his career in Private Banking, Asset Management, and Wealth Structuring for a small number of top firms. Over the past twenty years, he has held global leadership roles across various countries, focusing on the International Ultra High Net Worth space.
David was drawn to Etcho by our commitment to helping wealth managers build better relationships with clients through values-based storytelling. He recognises the growing demand among wealthy families to understand their investments and their impact on the world.

He believes that Etcho’s solutions are essential tools for advisors, whether they are Trustees, Private Bankers, or MFOs, to align investments with the values of their clients and that in today’s rapidly evolving financial landscape, wealth advisors face significant challenges meaning firms must aim to differentiate their proposition versus the next firm to win the massive migration of wealth to the next-gen which is just really getting underway.
David is particularly excited about the role of technology in wealth management. He sees the emergence of technology as a significant opportunity for the industry. “The wise firms dealing with HNW and UHNW clients will use the technology in the background and keep their client relationships live with real people,” he explains. According to David, many clients are looking for genuine value-added advice from their advisors, especially concerning sustainability and the impact of their investments. Etcho’s tools facilitate these meaningful conversations, particularly with the next generation of families.
David will bring a unique perspective on Etcho’s solutions through the eyes of potential customers—whether trusts, MFOs, or Private Bankers—which will provide crucial insights as we optimise our products for our clients.
